When cloaked you cannot lock and therefore not harm anyone. It has been established that "I dont like being watched" is not a valid reason to change cloaking in any way.
Cloaking is not broken at all. It does not need fixing, nor does it need boost/nerf applied.

And you think changing cloaking will make ISK farmers go away?
They wont. They were here before cloaking, and they will be here until the day we players (as a whole) stop breaking the EULA and stop buying their ISK...
Please please please STOP letting cheaters (cause that's what they are) be a factor in deciding how to balance the game.
I am NOT a cheater. I do not sell isk or break the EULA (to my knowledge). I enjoy cloaking up, and I enjoy cloaking just about any ship you can imagine. I would be terribly cross if CCP decided to change locaking so one could not stay hidden indefinately.
It would not stop me from playing, no no, but it would mean simply docking up and using a disposable alt to scout with instead.
I was in game LOOOOOOOONG before most of you, and I remember the days without cloaking. Armies of alt shuttles everywhere and dozens of threads (like this one) calling for an "end to alts"...
You are letting you personal mostives influence your judgement on what's best for the game. Cloaking serves a purpose for many legit players. I dont think they should be forced to change their gameplay simply because their advisaries are annoyed at one, small, group of cheaters...

well every other active module uses cap or fuel, why is cloak exception? it¦s nice that you cannot harm noone, but the same applies for you :o) i dont mind cloaked ppl, but cloaking 23/7 in mothership for example is crazy
Cloaking used to use Cap (though never on tranquility or in any test build I tried, but it was there in the design papers if I recal). They removed that after discovering that people would simply create cap-neutral setups that could run them forever anyway.
Sure they could increase the consumption to make that impossible, but then cloaking devices would be entirely useless to begin with.
Why is it "crazy" to cloak your mothership? Maybe it's crazy to you, but to the person choosing to put billions of isk into having a fancy ship might not want to have some sort of influence on WHEN he decides to risk it.

Well apearently some people think that cheaters and isk sellers are a good reason to change cloaking, and they arent. There are NO good reasons to change cloaking at all. It is a dead debate, long since terminated, ended.
This whole topic is completely NECRO. There are dozens if not hundreds of threads like this one, and they are all crap.
again. cloaking is fine, it does not need fixin'
